Seminar on Smart Grid 1 by Professor Mohammad Shahidehpour at the University of Kashan
increasing knowledge meeting was held with the presence
of Professor Mohammad Shahidehpour, head of the Electrical and Computer
Engineering Department from Illinois Institute of Technology, America at the
University of Kashan.
Dean of the
Faculty of Electrical and Computer at Illinois Institute of Technology in America,
said, according to the advancement of technology, the future of power
distribution is toward smart grid in the world.
Shahidehpour said smart grid and microgrid are the newest
research and industrial issues in the world and the future of power networks is
going to use this technology in the world.

He pointed to
the global movement toward micro-grid added, The advantage of distributed electricity distribution networks is that many
countries, including industrialized countries, developing and third world have excited that put the planning and implementation of smart grids in their agenda.
Manager and founder of the Research and Technology
and application of smart grid (CSMART) Center said this project started from
2008 and completed with the support of public and private companies and the
Ministry of Petroleum of America in 2013.
Dr Shahidehpour listed the benefits of smart grids
like detection of additional power in power plants,
control of technical losses, estimating of delivered power quality to customer, costs reducing, increasing the customer
satisfaction, investment optimizing, operation structure improving and the advancement of network stability and security.
Dr. Shahidehpour knew necessary proper use of
resources and he said, it should be presented
appropriate scientific solutions and
taught to people how to use electricity to was not wasted energy.
Editor in chief of IEEE Smart Grid expressed
that these systems include generation, transmission and distribution of
electrical systems. another advantage of distributed power grid or smart systems is, making the
new revenue sources, creating the necessary infrastructure for the
implementation of distributed generation and using of new energy sources,
distribution network reliability increasing by quick detecting of distribution
network error, the possibility of accurate load prediction and presale of
electricity and creating the suitable platform to launching market of
Smart power distribution grid are
interconnected and bilateral which in these
systems, information play a fundamental role in the process of energy
